Living in Matsumoto, I can say you've done a great job! We have so much more in terms of food, but you've really hit close by the funny bone. To be honest, I was expecting a far fetched story that I wouldn't recommend to any tourist visitsing Matsumoto City. Eonta, Kobayashi Soba, Mensho Soba, Itoya and Miyota. These are actually really great places that I would be proud to show anyone visiting. These awesome places are just the tip of the iceberg of what is offered here. Art, Music, Food Masumotoooooooooo has it all.

I am an american who spent nearly a year in singapore. I recommend hainanese chicken rice with chilli sauce from the Commonwealth Crescent Market and Food Centre . The stall is called SENG KEE CHICKEN RICE they have the best chilli and great chicken. There is not much else at that hawker center worth going for. I could eat singapore chicken rice everyday but I could not do the same for american chicken and rice. I love the Roti prata guys I cant find any rotis like this in orlando florida where I live. Try the KAYA roti its a sweet dessert yummmm. Ask for the fish and mutton curry with your roti prata. Try Jtown cafe its indonesian food. They make their noodles fresh daily, we order the bakmie ayam balado which is spicy yumm its fantasic. You must must must try their martabak!!! Get it with chocolate peanuts and cheese. When you think of chocolate and cheese it sounds disgusting but it does not taste at all like you think it does. You must try it Indonesian martabak will change your life LOL Just try one bite and its game over, search you tube for this dessert its a pancake dessert not a savory martabak. For life changing indian/Pakistani food you must visit Kebabchi Charcoal BBQ, Khansama Tandoori Restaurant - Little India, Usman Restaurant Pte Ltd, Bar.B.Q. Tonight SG. I also enjoyed the peanut butter pancakes and butter coconut tart when made right. The wanton noodle shop next to jtown serves really good food. Its "old airport road wanton noodle" which is also located at old airport road hawker center and I believe its a famous stall. I think its located in the Midpoint Orchard center. Try the indonesian layered spice cake Kueh Lapis from bengawan solo I almost forgot the best and I do mean best white behoon is at Da Shi Jia Big Prawn Mee on killaney rd. Try the brown sugar bobba milk tea with CHEESE from R&B Tea , Xing Fu Tang first but tiger milk brown sugar bobba is good too. BEST WISHES !

I lived in Taichung for 8 years and now Im in Canada but my heart is still in Taichung taiwan, I love the place especially Fengjia the food is great there are spot that I've always go to for food, lots of clothes and cheap too. I miss Taiwan such a lovely country.

Can someone explain why nearly everyone says "Taiwan is friendly"? How can it be friendly if no one there wants to be your friend? I asked many this and they are all stumped. Very weird. There is a total disinterest in making friends in Taiwan. It's the most antisocial country in Asia for sure, besides Korea and Hong Kong. The women and girls also have a very negative hateful vibe that makes you feel uncomfortable. Trying to socialize with them or chat them up feels awkward and inappropriate. Everything feels wrong and off. Kind of like Seattle, WA but much worse. It's hard to explain. You gotta go to Taiwan to know what I mean. But of course it's taboo to say this because Taiwan is all about being politically correct, not honest. So in that sense it's unfree, even though it's a democracy. Anyone else notice all this too? Btw, the problem is NOT me. I am very open and social and down to earth and been to 14 countries and met thousands of people. I only have problems in super cliquish places like Taiwan and West Coast USA. Outside of the US and NE Asia, I have many friends and meeting people comes naturally, just like in the movies. Only in Taiwan and USA is it not, so the problem is NOT me. Btw I would not recommend Taiwan for nature tourism, because there are too many insects that bite you if you go outdoors and try to hike, which is very annoying and distracting. Also most of the hiking trails are too steep up and down and strenuous on your knees. And the nature is nothing special. The national parks in the USA are far more spectacular without annoying insects and have a wide variety of trails, including flat level easy trails.

Why do you only talk about food? What about social connection? That's far more important.

Chiayi has got to be the most ANTISOCIAL and socially CLOSED city in all of Asia. I swear to God. It's impossible to make any friends at all! Or to connect with anyone. The people have a very negative awkward vibe and are very socially awkward. Trying to meet people feels illegal, inappropriate and unnatural, like trying to walk upstream in a river. Nothing feels normal. Everything feels illegal. The girls have a cold wall and feel very unapproachable and closed and never make eye contact and have a VERY negative vibe. I swear. Why is no one exposing this? Only elderly and older people are friendly in Taiwan, NEVER the young people. Especially the young women and girls. Those who say Taiwan is friendly NEVER differentiate this for some reason, even though the difference between young and old in Taiwan is gigantic and obvious.
